98-174 Modern Version Control With Git

Git is a modern version control system that tracks changes and enables collaboration by merging work from different users. This course will briefly explore various version control techniques and focus on the basics of using Git. We will also cover some advanced uses of git.

This is a 3-unit StuCo, graded pass/fail based on homework completion, attendance, a midterm, and a final exam. Classes will last roughly an hour each week.

Homework

There will be around 8 Homework Assignments throughout the semester. These homework assignments will be short and will help reinforce the topics covered in class.

Attendance

Attendance is required and you may only miss 3 lectures (according to StuCo guidelines)

Exams

There will be a Midterm and a Final Exam. They will be closed-book/closed-notes and you will not need a laptop.
